TripAdvisor - Conditions for an effective synchronisation

The type of data-syncing you want to have for your TripAdvisor to Listings connection depends on the primary category that is set for your business. In particular, there are currently three primary categories that are supported, which are:

• restaurants
• hotels/accommodations
• attractions

They have different levels of synchronisation.

Restaurants

The listings that have set as primary category "restaurant", or any related sub-category, can take advantage of complete synchronisation, which means:

• if your listing does not have a TripAdvisor page yet, it will be created.
  • if it does, it will be connected.
• the data will be updated according to the details that you fill in the dashboard.
• if you have Reviews Inbox enabled, you will be able to retrieve and manage reviews.

Hotels/Accommodations and Attractions

• if your listing does not have a TripAdvisor page yet, it won't be created.
  • if it does, it will be connected.
• the data will not be pushed from the dashboard to your TripAdvisor page.
• if you have Reviews Inbox enabled (and you already have a TripAdvisor page) you will be able to retrieve and manage reviews.
